Responsibility and independent working

Hello !

I’m Prune, I come from France and I’m here in Karelia UAS for my practical training for two months and a half. I am a nursing student in second year and I was in Voimala for 3 weeks.

It was really interesting for me to see the differences between Finland and France about the education with children, the different kinds of methods who are using there, and the prevention. Here the students had  lots of responsibilities about the events, they organize all by themselves. In France, it’s only professional like nurses or physiotherapist who are doing this kind of events. I was very happy to take part of the organization and the participation of those events.

For example, I participated on activities in kinder garden with mothers with their children, I was with two students of my team on a family to babysit two little girls, I was on Valtimo’s school to ask questions to children about a meeting place project in Valtimo etc.

It was a very good experience for me to look why it’s so important for us, students, to take responsibilities and to be independent. I learnt more about the team working and the cooperation.

I would like to thank the whole team for the warm welcome I received!
