Karelia Commissioned Pathway Programme application
Karelia Commissioned Pathway Programme leads students to their chosen Karelia Bachelor degree programmes in either International Business, Industrial Management or Information and Communication Technology as Karelia second-year students.
Admission period 1 February – 30 March
Eligibility
Karelia Commissioned Pathway programmes can be delivered to a group of participants (minimum 10) or individual student from outside the EU/EEA area.
You are eligible for applying, if you have completed one of the followings:
• Foreign qualification providing eligibility for higher education in the country in question
• International Baccalaureate Degree (IB)
• High-School Degrees, College Degrees, Bachelor’s Degrees, Master’s Degrees, Postgraduate Degrees, or Doctoral Degrees
Each applicant’s eligibility will be verified during the application process.
Applying
If students’ first language is not English, they need to demonstrate their proficiency in the language during the online interview or submit TOEFL/IELTS/CEFR/PTE Academic certificates (Institutional TOEFL 500 scores, IELTS levels at 5.5 or B2 EU levels, PTE 59-75, and above) or SAT test results.
Students can also submit SAT test results. Karelia University of Applied Sciences’ Designated Institutional Code for SAT test results is 7782 – Use this code when you want your test scores to be sent to Karelia UAS.
Evidence-Based Reading and Writing minimum 500 points
– Reading Test
– Writing and Language Test
Math minimum 500 points
The lowest accepted SAT test result is 1000 points.
The required certificates have to be uploaded to your application by 30th March.
- An application of admission in English
- A photocopy of passport
- A copy of certified completed foreign High-School Degrees, College Degrees, Bachelor’s Degrees, Master’s Degrees, Postgraduate Degrees, or Doctoral Degrees
- Complete academic records in English
Note! If the academic records are not in English, also attach its official certified translation. The official translation needs to have translator´s signature and stamp.

Students who meet the requirements shall be granted admission for Karelia Commissioned Pathway Programme starting in Autumn.
Tuition fee
As of 1.1.2023 at Karelia UAS, the tuition fee for non-EU/EEA Pathway international students are 5 000 euros.
Applying to Degree Programmes
Students who have completed the whole Karelia Commissioned Pathway Programmes are eligible for applying to their chosen Karelia degree programs in either International Business, Industrial Management, or Information and Communication Technology as second-year students.
After the Pathway year, students will be under Karelia´s updated policies.
