Karelia Commis­sioned Pathway Programme application

Karelia Commis­sioned Pathway Programme leads students to their chosen Karelia Bachelor degree programmes in either Inter­na­tional Business, Indus­trial Management or Infor­mation and Commu­ni­cation Technology as Karelia second-year students.

Admission period 1 February – 30 March

Eligi­bility

Karelia Commis­sioned Pathway programmes can be delivered to a group of partic­i­pants (minimum 10) or individual student from outside the EU/EEA area.

You are eligible for applying, if you have completed one of the followings:

• Foreign quali­fi­cation providing eligi­bility for higher education in the country in question

• Inter­na­tional Baccalau­reate Degree (IB)

• High-School Degrees, College Degrees, Bachelor’s Degrees, Master’s Degrees, Postgraduate Degrees, or Doctoral Degrees

Each applicant’s eligi­bility will be verified during the appli­cation process.

Applying

If students’ first language is not English, they need to demon­strate their profi­ciency in the language during the online interview or submit TOEFL/IELTS/CEFR/PTE Academic certifi­cates (Insti­tu­tional TOEFL 500 scores, IELTS levels at 5.5 or B2 EU levels, PTE 59-75, and above) or SAT test results. 

Students can also submit SAT test results. Karelia University of Applied Sciences’Desig­nated Insti­tu­tional Code for SAT test results is 7782 – Use this code when you want your test scores to be sent to Karelia UAS. 

 Evidence-Based Reading and Writing minimum 500 points 
– Reading Test 
– Writing and Language Test 
Math minimum 500 points 

The lowest accepted SAT test result is 1000 points. 

The required certifi­cates have to be uploaded to your appli­cation by 30th March.

  • An appli­cation of admission in English
  • A photocopy of passport
  • A copy of certified completed foreign High-School Degrees, College Degrees, Bachelor’s Degrees, Master’s Degrees, Postgraduate Degrees, or Doctoral Degrees
  • Complete academic records in English

Note! If the academic records are not in English, also attach its official certified trans­lation. The official trans­lation needs to have translator´s signature and stamp.

Students who meet the require­ments shall be granted admission for Karelia Commis­sioned Pathway Programme starting in Autumn.

Tuition fee

As of 1.1.2023 at Karelia UAS, the tuition fee for non-EU/EEA Pathway  inter­na­tional students are 5 000 euros.

Applying to Degree Programmes

Students who have completed the whole Karelia Commis­sioned Pathway Programmes are eligible for applying to their chosen Karelia degree programs in either Inter­na­tional Business, Indus­trial Management, or Infor­mation and Commu­ni­cation Technology as second-year students.

After the Pathway year, students will be under Karelia´s updated policies.
