The wellbeing and health technology showroom, located on the Karelia UAS Tikkarinne campus in Karelia, is a research, development and learning environment for social and health care students, teachers and professionals, as well as our working life partners.
In the showroom, technologies are presented and their experiments are carried out for different customer groups. Cooperation is also carried out with the students of the Learning and Service Environment Tarmo.
The showroom displays a wide range of health and well-being technology, which can be tested together with experts. Some of the products can be borrowed for trial use by our working life partners. Citizens can learn about the possibilities of technology at various events and occasions. Some of the products can also be moved to the region for our working life partners to get acquainted with.
The space also has an immersive wall solution that can be used to project diverse virtual content, e.g. animal or nature themes.
The wellbeing and health technology showroom has been implemented as part of the INNO North Karelia investment project for sustainable services and innovations in the social and welfare sector, which is co-funded by the European Union.
