Karelia University of Applied Sciences monitors the coronavirus situation

Karelia UAS actively monitors the situation with the coronavirus and the related instructions from the authorities. At the moment (10th March 2020), the coronavirus does not cause changes in or exceptions to the normal operations of Karelia UAS. However, Karelia UAS staff and students are advised to take care of good hand hygiene and follow the instructions for coughing, sneezing and blowing one’s nose.

Karelia UAS does not recommend travelling to the epidemic areas. In addition, you are advised to carefully consider the need for any other travelling at the moment.

If you have traveled in an epidemic area and are experiencing symptoms of a sudden respiratory infection such as fever, cough and shortness of breath within 14 days of leaving the area, first contact the emergency services of your hospital/health care centre by phone to receive instructions on how to seek treatment.
