Karelia University of Applied Sciences starts implementing studies as distance learning online as of Wednesday 18th March
Karelia University of Applied Sciences continues its normal activities despite the coronavirus epidemic. So far, no coronavirus infections have been discovered in Karelia UAS. However, Karelia UAS is actively striving for slowing down the spread of the epidemic and consequently, most studies will be implemented as distance learning online as of Wednesday, 18thMarch (Monday 16th March?). The campuses are normally open until further notice.
Karelia UAS recommends that all members of staff work remotely whenever possible. In addition, Karelia UAS strongly recommends avoiding all travelling. All work-related trips abroad and in Finland are prohibited until further notice. Furthermore, Karelia UAS does not accept any international guests at the moment. All meetings will also be conducted remotely.
Both students and members of staff returning to Finland from abroad must stay home for 14 days before returning to the school/workplace. Students are advised not to go on international exchange at the moment.
Employees may be on sick leave for 7 days by informing their supervisor.
