Karelia UAS Rolling Admission on 6 – 19 May 2026: Group Interviews

Rolling admission application on 6 – 19 May 2026 for Degree Programme in Industrial Management includes group interviews. Group interviews will take place between 11 – 29 May 2026.

While filling in your application, you can find the Calendly booking link in the application form. Please use the link to book your interview time.

Please book your interview at the same time when submitting the application form. Student admission decisions cannot be made until the interview has been successfully completed.

After booking the interview time, remember to return back to the application form to complete it and submit it.

Instructions on how to prepare to Karelia UAS Rolling Admission Group Interview  

GROUP INTERVIEW DETAILS

The group interview will be held online. Duration of the interview is approximately 1 hour.

The Zoom link has been sent to you through the Calendy booking system. Please note that the interview time is in Finnish time (UTC+3). We recommend checking your local time via Time and Date.

The interview time cannot be changed unless there is a compelling reason.

HOW TO JOIN THE INTERVIEW

The interview will be conducted via Zoom. Please join the meeting 5 minutes before the scheduled time using the link above.

When joining:

  • Use a browser and enter as a guest
  • Enter your name in the format: Last name, First name (e.g., Brown, John)

You may also use the Zoom desktop app. If prompted, allow your browser to open Zoom.

Before the interview, ensure:

  • Your camera, microphone, and speakers/headset are working
  • You have read all instructions and have your identification document ready
  • You are in a quiet, well-lit environment
  • You have disabled virtual backgrounds and filters

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

To participate, you must have:

  • A computer, tablet, or mobile device
  • Stable internet and power supply
  • A webcam
  • A headset or microphone and speakers

Recommended browsers: Firefox, Chrome, or Edge. If the link doesn’t open, try a different browser.

If using a mobile device, ensure Zoom is installed and tested in advance.

Note: Karelia UAS is not responsible for technical issues that prevent participation.

IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENT

Your identity will be verified during the interview. Please have your passport ready — the same document you submitted in your application.

Make sure:

  • Your video connection is clear
  • Lighting allows your face and documents to be visible

You must be recognizable and present the correct document. If your identity cannot be verified, you cannot pass the interview.

The supervisor will inform you when the interview ends.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • The interview is an individual assessment. Do not share the Zoom link or instructions.
  • Attend the interview alone, in a quiet space where you can focus.

STRUCTURE & ASSESSMENT

  • Up to 5 applicants per session
  • Supervised by 2 Karelia UAS staff members
  • Begins with identity verification in breakout rooms
  • Followed by a group discussion on a given topic (approx. 20-30 minutes)

You will be assessed on:

  1. Interaction and contribution to the discussion
  2. Quality and relevance of your input
  3. English language proficiency

If you do not meet the minimum requirements, you may fail for this phase.

In case of technical disruptions, supervisors may remove you to ensure a smooth session for others. You may contact Admission Services ([email protected]) afterwards to discuss options.

RESULTS

To be considered for admission, you must:

  • Pass the interview
  • Meet all eligibility criteria

Results will be sent within a week after the interview.
