Karelia University of Applied Sciences received a total of 2 209 applications in Finland’s autumn joint application round, which closed on Thursday, 11 September 2025. Of these, 431 applicants selected Karelia UAS as their first-choice institution.
The most popular programmes at Karelia UAS were the international degree programmes, particularly International Business and Industrial Management.
Among the Finnish-language programmes, Karelia UAS offered three bachelor-level degrees in the field of social and health care, available as full-time or blended studies: Social Services, Nursing, and Physiotherapy. Of these, the Social Services programme attracted the highest number of applicants.
In addition to the joint application round, Karelia UAS also ran a separate fast-track application for the Social Services programme, which received 121 applications.
Students will be selected through several admission methods, the most common being certificate-based selection, the UAS entrance exam held at the end of October, and the International UAS Exam.
Final admission results will be published no later than 20 November 2025, and studies will begin in January 2026.
