Great possibilities for exchange studies and internships

I was quite excited to start my studies at Karelia UAS since it has been quite a while since I’ve been studying due to my conscription. Even though we haven’t actually started on campus yet due to COVID-19 concerns, the teachers have done a wonderful job with our remote lessons/lectures, assisting us in the smallest matters of life and studies. They have been very understanding with the issues that remote studying has brought to us students.

I’m very much looking forward to meeting my teachers and classmates once the quarantine lifts and our student life normalizes. I’m also planning to benefit as much as I can from the international focus of my study programme and get to know people from all over the world. I am improving my language skills all the time and plan to spend some semesters as an exchange student as we have great possibilities for this. I dream to work in another country for some years after I’ve graduated, just in the hopes of it being a great opportunity to learn and experience the world. The possibilities I get from the Industrial Managment programmme are great for this.

I’ve really enjoyed my first semester even though the remote lectures haven’t been ideal. The teachers here are skilled and really care about what they do. They share and supplement our lessons with their great experience. It’s has helped me a lot to get to know my teachers. My goal is to graduate in 3.5 years, but if I get opportunities like internship abroad I won’t hesitate to stay longer.
