Master’s Degree Programmes

Karelia UAS offers high-quality education that is based on research. It has over ten years’ experience of master’s degree programmes.
The following Master’s Degree programmes are intended for companies, organi­za­tions and higher educa­tional insti­tu­tions. The programmes comprise 90 ECTS credits (one credit equals 27 hours of student’s work) and the pedagogical imple­men­tation can be tailored according to client needs. The imple­men­tation may contain contact teaching, distance learning as well as online teaching.

Active Ageing (90 ECTS credits)

Ageing is one of the strategic focus areas of Karelia UAS. The Master’s Degree in Active Ageing provides the students with a chance to develop their expertise in ageing and gives them a possi­bility to work for a better future. The graduates from the Master’s programme work together with older people to enhance their well-being. The pedagogical imple­men­tation of the programme can be tailored according to client needs.

Devel­opment and Management of Health Care
and Social Services (90 ECTS credits)

The Master’s degree programme in the Devel­opment and Management of Health Care and Social Services educates effective and well-qualified leaders, who take the respon­si­bility of leadership and management seriously and play an integral role at all levels of health care management.
The studies are conducted with the help of multi­pro­fes­sional learning environ­ments which enable studying alongside work. The education is imple­mented in close collab­o­ration with working life. The pedagogical imple­men­tation of the programme can be tailored according to client needs.
