Master’s Degree Programmes

Kare­lia UAS offers high-qua­li­ty educa­tion that is based on research. It has over ten years’ expe­rience of master’s degree programmes.
The fol­lowing Master’s Degree pro­gram­mes are inten­ded for com­pa­nies, orga­niza­tions and hig­her educa­tio­nal ins­ti­tu­tions. The pro­gram­mes compri­se 90 ECTS cre­dits (one cre­dit equals 27 hours of student’s work) and the peda­go­gical imple­men­ta­tion can be tai­lo­red accor­ding to client needs. The imple­men­ta­tion may con­tain con­tact teac­hing, dis­tance lear­ning as well as onli­ne teaching.

Acti­ve Ageing (90 ECTS credits)

Ageing is one of the stra­te­gic focus areas of Kare­lia UAS. The Master’s Degree in Acti­ve Ageing pro­vi­des the stu­dents with a chance to deve­lop their exper­ti­se in ageing and gives them a pos­si­bi­li­ty to work for a bet­ter futu­re. The gra­dua­tes from the Master’s pro­gram­me work toget­her with older people to enhance their well-being. The peda­go­gical imple­men­ta­tion of the pro­gram­me can be tai­lo­red accor­ding to client needs.

Deve­lop­ment and Mana­ge­ment of Health Care
and Social Ser­vices (90 ECTS credits)

The Master’s degree pro­gram­me in the Deve­lop­ment and Mana­ge­ment of Health Care and Social Ser­vices educa­tes effec­ti­ve and well-qua­li­fied lea­ders, who take the res­pon­si­bi­li­ty of lea­ders­hip and mana­ge­ment serious­ly and play an inte­gral role at all levels of health care management.
The stu­dies are con­duc­ted with the help of mul­ti­pro­fes­sio­nal lear­ning envi­ron­ments which enable stu­dying along­si­de work. The educa­tion is imple­men­ted in clo­se col­la­bo­ra­tion with wor­king life. The peda­go­gical imple­men­ta­tion of the pro­gram­me can be tai­lo­red accor­ding to client needs.
