Eligibility
Joint programmes are designed for international students who would like to gain degrees from both their local university and Karelia University of Applied Sciences (Double Degree programmes) or from Karelia University of Applied Sciences (Articulation programmes). Joint programmes are offered at Bachelor levels in International Business, Industrial Management, Information and Communication Technology, Energy and Environmental Engineering.
To attend the Joint programmes at Karelia University of Applied Sciences, students should make sure that their home university has signed Joint programme agreements with Karelia University of Applied Sciences.
To make sure that your studies are eligible to the Joint programme application in question, please contact your home university teachers-in-charge.

Students applying for Joint programs, as recommended by Karelia University of Applied Sciences partner universities, shall submit their applications to Karelia University of Applied Sciences. Application time is March yearly for Fall entrance, accompanied by the documents listed below.
1. An application of admission in English
2. A photocopy of passport
3. Official Transcripts (with English translation) of courses from all university years, with official stamps (Students must receive the minimum pass grade from all their courses in relation to their own university grading system);
4. TOEFL/IELTS/CEFR/PTE Academic certificates (Institutional TOEFL 500 scores, IELTS levels at 5.5 or B2 EU levels, PTE 59-75, and above) or SAT test results.
Karelia University of Applied Sciences Designated Institutional Code for SAT test results is 7782 – Use this code when you want your test scores to be sent to Karelia UAS.
Evidence-Based Reading and Writing minimum 500 points
– Reading Test
– Writing and Language Test
Math minimum 500 points
The lowest accepted SAT test result is 1000 points.

Student selection criteria
Students, who are recommended by their university (Karelia University of Applied Sciences partner university), and meet with Karelia University of Applied Sciences admission requirements, shall be granted admission for the program.
They shall enroll in Karelia University of Applied Sciences in the designated academic year.

- 2+ 2 (2 years at your university and 2 years at Karelia University of Applied Sciences) for Industrial Management, Information and Communication Technology programmes

- 3 + 1 (3 years at your university and 1 year at Karelia University of Applied Sciences) for Degree Programme in Energy and Environmental Engineering

Availability
Students applying for Joint programmes, as recommended by their own university, shall submit their applications to Karelia University of Applied Sciences within March for Fall entrance yearly.

Industrial Management
The four-year degree gives you strong expertise in intelligent production, sales, product and service life cycle management, and in team and project leadership. The major international business partners of our university participate actively in the training.


Information and Communication Technology
Degree in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) provides you with a wide knowhow for working on the ICT field in Finland.
International Business
The Degree Programme in International Business enables you to develop expertise required in global business. The main focus of the studies is on international marketing as a part of successful business.


Energy and Environmental Engineering
Energy and Environmental Engineering courses are INVEST Specialization Studies at Karelia University of Applied Sciences. Structure of studies consists of 30 ECTS in Autumn semester and 30 ECTS onsite in Spring semester.
