How to Apply

Next application period will be 1 September - 15 October, 2017

Application process

1.) Familiarize yourself with the list of courses offered for the exchange students
2.) Fill in the online application form
3.) Attach the following enclosures to the application:

  1. Erasmus+ Learning Agreement, please fill in only page 1
    Instead of Karelia's form, you can use your own university's template.
    Learning agreement (For other than European Erasmus+ students)

  2. EU curriculum vitae
  3. Transcript of Records
  4. Copy of Identification Certificate/Passport
  5. Motivation Letter (if you apply for a project or a placement supervised by Karelia UAS)
    You may also send additional documents if needed.

After sending your application you will get a PIN code by email for editing your application. Please note that some email programs may move this kind of automatically generated emails to the junk mail. If you do not get the email please check the rubbish bin of your email.

Timetable of application for incoming exchange students
- Applications are processed at Karelia UAS (October/November 2017)
- Letter of acceptance, approved learning agreement, Information package to the new students (October/November 2017)
- After receiving the letter of acceptance you can apply for the accommodation from Student Housing company Joensuun Elli.

- Studies begin with Orientation Days on 8-9 January, 2018.

Studies at Karelia University of Applied Sciences
Teaching at Karelia University of Applied Sciences is mostly carried out in the Finnish language. Courses in English can be found here.
