Karelia Univer­sity of Applied Sciences is looking for Inter­na­tio­nal Officer for the dura­tion of the job alter­na­tion leave for 2.4.-10.7.2024. The subs­ti­tute must be an unemplo­yed jobseeker.

Inter­na­tio­na­lity is one of the stra­te­gic aims of Karelia Univer­sity of Applied Sciences (Karelia). Karelia2030 stra­tegy iden­ti­fies five main areas to work with and develop until 2030 to meet with regio­nal and global chal­len­ges. Karelia UAS offers broad inter­na­tio­na­liza­tion possi­bi­li­ties for all students and staff members.

Inter­na­tio­nal Officer tasks include:
– active partici­pa­tion in the imple­men­ta­tion and deve­lop­ment of inter­na­tio­nal services for Karelia’s inter­na­tio­nal students
– suppor­ting degree program­mes with the deve­lop­ment and imple­men­ta­tion of inter­na­tio­nal coope­ra­tion and with inte­gra­ting inter­na­tio­nal compe­tence deve­lop­ment into teac­hing
– advi­sing and guiding staff and students in inter­na­tio­na­liza­tion oppor­tu­ni­ties (especially Erasmus+ mobi­lity)
– commu­nica­tion and colla­bo­ra­tion with inter­na­tio­nal partner univer­si­ties in exchange and applica­tion issues
– coor­di­na­tion of staff mobi­lity proces­ses at Karelia
– active partici­pa­tion in deve­lop­ment of inter­na­tio­nal services for Karelia’s inter­na­tio­nal students

We expect and value;
– degree in higher educa­tion
– compe­tence in inter­na­tio­nal commu­nica­tion
– good skills with digital tools
– expe­rience in inter­na­tio­nal contexts
– proficiency in English language (C1-level)
– Finnish language skills (C1-level)
– teamwork and co-crea­tion skills
– self-mana­ge­ment skills and good commu­nica­tion skills

We value if you also have:
– master-level degree
– prior expe­rience and unders­tan­ding of inter­na­tio­na­liza­tion and mobi­lity program­mes in higher educa­tion.

The post is full-time and condi­tions follow the collec­tive labour agree­ment of Sivista. The salary is 2622,46-2937,22 EUR per month. The salary does not include an expe­rience supple­ment, 4-16 %.
