Karelia Univer­sity of Applied Sciences is looking for

PROJECT SPECIALIST
for full-time, fixed-term posi­tion for the period of 1.2.2022-30.6.2023.

Project specia­list works in two sepa­rate research and deve­lop­ment projects:
– Digital Twin – Sustai­nable Services and Know­ledge Trans­fer in Real Estate and Buil­ding Tech­no­logy
– Commu­nica­tive Energy – New energy tran­si­tion and low-carbon digital ser-vices in North Karelia

Key assign­ments for project specia­list are:
– Working as an ICT specia­list on projects with two multi­discipline specia­list teams
– Design and imple­men­ta­tion of infor­ma­tion systems related to buil­ding digital twins and energy communities

We empha­size:
– Cloud compu­ting know­ledge (especially Azure but Google Cloud and AWS are counted as benefit)
– Inter­face and inte­gra­tion know­ledge (device and system level APIs; REST, Web-Services)
– Data­base and -ware­house know­ledge (especially Time Series Insight but also MySQL and Cosmos DB)
– Data analy­tics know­ledge (e.g. Micro­soft Power BI)
– Ability to work inde­pen­dently
– Good problem-solving skills
– Plan­ning, orga­nizing, and self-leaders­hip skills
– Good spoken and written Finnish and/or English skills
– Desire to improve and deepen perso­nal working skills


We also value:
– Game engines and VR tools know­ledge
– Good commu­nica­tion and inte­rac­tion skills
– Networks and previous busi­ness co-operation

We expect to applicant to have suitable univer­sity degree.

The posi­tion is full-time and the emplo­y­ment condi­tions comply with the collec­tive labour agree­ment of Sivista. The salary with assign­ment speci­fic incre­ment is 2500-3750 EUR/month. The assign­ment follows a six-month proba­tio­nary period.
